Halloween Duck Hunt

On Halloween I had my sights set on some decent spots, but someone had beat me to my favorite blinds!  We were starting to question if hunting today was a good idea.  Luckily a recently flooded area nearby was available.  Still questioning whether or not we had made the right decision to even hunt at all, when we arrived we kicked up a few birds that had been dabbling overnight.  There was a glimmer of hope!  It was not “lights out” by any means, but we were able to pick up 8 mallards and 3 widgeon during the morning hunt.  Overall a fun and successful day!
