Late April Spring Salmon Fishing! Surprise Sea Lion!

Today was HOT!! I think the salmon went deep or had absolutely no interest. At least where I was fishing. I’m grinding hard to find the spring chinook salmon with no luck so far! While I’m frustrated, I’m still very optimistic. I just need to get out as much as possible, stay positive, and keep grinding. Good things are bound to happen…right?!

The day featured a bit of excitement. On my way back to the dock a Sea Lion almost drilled my Alumaweld Boat. I caught it all on the 360 camera! The footage doesn’t do it justice. It definitely looked a lot closer to my eye. I saw the whites of his eyes as he dove right to the side of the boat. Watch until the end for the footage!
